Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Technical Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, promoting our technical products or services, and building strong relationships with clients. The Technical Sales Representative will play a key role in driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and qualify leads through research, networking, and cold calling.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients, showcasing the technical features and benefits of our products or services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target industries.
- Understand clients’ technical requirements and provide customized solutions to meet their needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and customer support, to ensure seamless delivery and support of our solutions.
- Negotiate and close sales contracts, ensuring terms and conditions meet both client and company requirements.
- Prepare and deliver proposals, quotes, and presentations in response to client inquiries.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and objectives set by management.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline management using CRM software.
Qualifications:
- Certification in Sales, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven track record of success in technical sales or business development roles, preferably in the [Tyre or Automotive industry].
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients at all levels of an organization.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a focus on driving revenue and achieving sales targets.
- Experience using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot and CRM) and other sales tools.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
- Technical certifications or training in relevant areas (e.g., Tyres, Automotive).
- Previous experience selling [Tyres or Automotive Sales into Africa].
- Knowledge of the sales and production of tyres including manufacturing.
- Fluency in English & Afrikaans.
