Key Responsibilities:

• Instrumentation & Control Systems Engineering: Design, develop, and implement state-of-the-art instrumentation and control solutions for petroleum projects.
• Project Management: Lead and manage complex instrumentation and control projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
• Process Optimization: Drive efficiency improvements by leveraging advanced control systems, automation, and real-time monitoring technologies.
• Regulatory Compliance & Safety: Ensure all projects adhere to industry safety protocols, regulatory standards, and environmental guidelines.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare and review detailed engineering reports, schematics, specifications, and operational manuals.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, project managers, and operations teams, to ensure seamless integration of control systems.
• Instrumentation Selection & Calibration: Specify, procure, and calibrate precision instruments, sensors, and control devices for petroleum processing facilities.
• Risk Assessment & Troubleshooting: Identify potential risks in control systems and implement proactive troubleshooting solutions to prevent downtime.
• Cost Control & Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, negotiate with vendors, and ensure cost-effective execution without compromising quality.
• Industry Innovation: Stay updated with the latest advancements in instrumentation and control engineering to implement best practices and cutting-edge technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in the petroleum industry, specializing in instrumentation and control systems.
• Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale engineering projects on time and within budget.
• Proficiency in control system design, automation, PLC/DCS programming, and SCADA systems.
• In-depth knowledge of industry standards, including API, IEC, ISA, and OSHA regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills for preparing reports, procedures, and specifications.
• Ability to work in high-pressure environments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
