Junior Business Development Specialist Propel Your Career Forward

Job Summary: As a Junior Business Developer in Truck Hire, you will be responsible for assisting in the growth and development of our truck hire business segment. Your primary focus will be on generating new leads, nurturing existing client relationships, and contributing to the overall sales strategy. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for sales and the transportation industry to kickstart their career in junior business development.

Responsibilities as a Junior Business Development Specialist:

  1. Lead Generation: Identify and research potential clients within the target market through various channels such as online research, networking events, and cold calling.
  2. Client Engagement: Initiate contact with prospective clients to introduce our truck hire services, understand their transportation needs, and schedule meetings for further discussions.
  3. Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with existing clients to understand their evolving requirements, address any concerns, and explore opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
  4. Sales Support: Assist senior business developers in preparing proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations to secure new business opportunities.
  5. Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify potential areas for business growth and differentiation.
  6. Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and market research findings using CRM software or other relevant tools.
  7. Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team, operations staff, and other internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of client contracts and delivery of services.

Qualifications for a Junior Business Development Specialist:

  1. Education: Grade 12 Senior Certifiacte  Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  2. Experience: Prior experience in sales, customer service, or account management roles is preferred. Fresh graduates with relevant internships or coursework will also be considered.
  3. Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of the transportation industry, particularly in truck hire or logistics, is advantageous.
  4. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for engaging with clients and presenting proposals effectively.
  5. Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients, understand their needs, and negotiate win-win solutions.
  6. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM software or other sales tools is desirable.
  8. Drive and Ambition: Demonstrated passion for sales, a proactive mindset, and a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
