We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer – Piping to contribute to a prestigious petroleum project. You will bring 12+ years of specialized experience and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering to support construction management, engineering execution, and procurement strategies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) phases with a strong emphasis on construction management.
  • Piping Engineering: Oversee piping design, material selection, stress analysis, and fabrication methods to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical leadership on all mechanical piping systems, ensuring project specifications and quality requirements are met.
  • Construction Oversight: Monitor installation, testing, and commissioning of piping systems, resolving technical issues and optimizing workflows.
  • Procurement Coordination: Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials while maintaining cost efficiency.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to Saudi Arabian and international codes, health & safety regulations, and best engineering practices.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, designers, construction teams, and external stakeholders to achieve seamless project execution.
  • Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Analyze and resolve technical challenges in piping systems and recommend effective engineering solutions.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed reports, progress updates, and engineering documentation to support project milestones.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • BSc in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
  • 12+ years of hands-on experience as a Mechanical Engineer specializing in Piping.
  • Extensive experience in Oil & Gas project management and EPC phases (engineering, procurement, and construction).
  • Proven track record in construction management with expertise in piping installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of international piping codes and standards (ASME, API, ANSI, etc.).
  • Experience in stress analysis, material selection, and fabrication methods for piping systems.
  • Technical proficiency in industry-specific software and engineering tools.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment with strict deadlines.
  • Proficiency in risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
